Solution design document
Data model, integration points, role and group design, and the decisions behind each one — written so a future administrator can understand why.
ServiceNow
Hands-on design and build across ITSM, CMDB/CSDM, APM and custom workflows, with a working deliverable at the end of every sprint.
This is the build. We take a defined scope — a new module, a CMDB remediation effort, an application portfolio stand-up, a set of workflows that need to move off spreadsheets — and we design it, configure it, test it and hand it over with documentation.
We work the way your delivery organization works. If you run two-week sprints in Azure DevOps, we write the stories and attend the ceremonies. If you run a more traditional gate model, we produce the design artifacts your architecture review board expects. What does not change is that each sprint ends with something demonstrable in a sub-production instance.
The deliverables below are the default scope. We adjust them to your situation during scoping and confirm the final list in writing.
Data model, integration points, role and group design, and the decisions behind each one — written so a future administrator can understand why.
Built in a sub-production instance, promoted through your normal update set or application repository process.
REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub flows, transform maps and discovery patterns, with error handling and retry behavior defined.
Test cases mapped to requirements, plus the results of functional and regression passes before go-live.
Admin runbook, known limitations, and a short enablement session recorded for the people who will own it.
Indicative timings for a typical engagement of this type. Your scope, environment and availability of stakeholders will move them.
Working sessions with process owners and platform admins. We leave with a signed-off scope, a data model and an acceptance definition.
Two-week sprints with a demo at the end of each. Scope changes are handled as trades, not additions.
Functional testing with your users, regression testing on adjacent processes, then fixes.
Production deployment inside your change window, hypercare for the first two weeks, then documented handover.
These are the goals we design the engagement around. They are objectives, not guarantees, and the result depends on decisions and effort on your side as much as ours.
Questions
Yes. We have delivered as the product owner, as the scrum master, and as developers inside someone else’s team. Tell us which seat you need filled.
No. We work in sub-production instances and promote changes through your existing process. Production access is only requested if your deployment model requires it, and it follows your access controls.
That is common. We start by documenting what the customizations do and which ones still earn their keep. Removing a customization is a project of its own, so we size it separately rather than hiding it inside other work.
Tell us the symptom rather than the solution. If a different service fits better — or none of ours does — we will say so.
